WeekArc is a personal health and progress tracking app for people using GLP-1 medications. It is developed and operated by the WeekArc team. For anything in this policy, contact us at support@weekarc.com.
Everything you record in WeekArc — injection log entries, weight and body measurements, meals, water, daily check-ins and symptoms, progress photos, reminders and settings — is stored in a local database on your device. WeekArc has no user accounts or central health-record database. We cannot restore your device's records from our server. While Arcy is enabled, each request sends the summary you agree to share and your chat messages through our server to OpenAI; we do not store that content on our server (section 3).
Your health record and progress photos are included in your own encrypted device backup, so a replaced phone restores them. That backup belongs to you, not to us: it goes to your own iCloud account, we cannot read it, and you can switch WeekArc off under Settings › iCloud › Backup at any time. WeekArc itself never stores your health data on any server and never syncs it to a cloud of ours. If your backups are off, or you are moving to another platform, the app also offers a user-initiated, password-encrypted export you keep wherever you choose.
If you connect Apple Health, WeekArc reads the categories you approve (such as weight, body composition, water, nutrition, steps, heart rate) and can write the entries you record (such as water, nutrition and weight). These permissions are managed by iOS, type by type, and can be changed at any time in the Apple Health app. Apple Health data is used inside the app and is not stored on any server of ours. The one exception is Arcy: if you turn it on, your daily step counts (last 28 days and weekly averages) and today's resting heart rate read from Apple Health are part of the summary described below.
Arcy is off until you explicitly turn it on, with one informed consent inside the app. When Arcy writes — the daily comment or a chat reply — a summary of your records and the messages you type to Arcy go through our server to OpenAI, our AI provider, to generate the text. The summary contains: today's numbers (weight, water, protein, fiber, steps, resting heart rate); your journey anchors (latest dated weigh-in, start and goal weight, start date, number of days with records, latest estimated body composition, the name of the medication you recorded and your next planned date); daily rows for the last 28 days (weight, water, protein, fiber, steps, check-in ratings, days with an entry, and — if you chose to share them — the kinds of symptoms you noted); and weekly summaries since your first record (averages and counts of the same values). Never your notes, severity ratings, dose amounts, injection sites or name; if you type those in a message, they are sent with that message. Everything the summary contained is listed inside the app under "What this comment is based on".
You can narrow this at any time in Profile › Arcy: switch off your history (daily rows and weekly summaries), or switch off symptoms only. Narrowing applies from the next message on; what was already sent is not recalled. People who turned Arcy on before this wider summary existed keep the narrower one until they choose to share their week in the app. Turning Arcy off stops all sending.
Our server keeps no record of who sent what: it verifies your subscription with Apple, forwards the request and forgets it. It does not record IP addresses for requests from the app; only blocked attack traffic may be recorded by the server's security firewall. The provider processes the data to provide the service and does not use it to train its models; it may retain API content for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring under its own policy. We do not store Arcy summaries or chat content on our server.
If you scan a food barcode, only the barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org) to look up the product — nothing about you or your records goes with it.
Backups, CSV/PDF exports and share cards are created on your device and go only where you send them.
Your records are stored only on your device, so you are in full control: you can delete individual entries or erase everything from Profile → Privacy & Data (two-step confirmation; cannot be undone). Deleting the app deletes its local database. Data you wrote to Apple Health is managed in the Apple Health app. One thing sits outside that control: content already sent to the AI provider, which follows its own retention policy described in section 3.
WeekArc is intended for adults using GLP-1 medications under the care of a healthcare provider. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly process children's data.
weekarc.com is a static informational site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and collects no personal data. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Material changes that affect what leaves your device will also be shown in the app before they apply to you.
